ARKANSAS CUP COMPETITION - Chairperson Jan Diederich

To qualifyfor this competition the following criteria must be met:

A  contestant must

• Be an active member of the Arkansas Florists Association  OR
• Be an employee of an active member shop in good standing who has woked in Arkansas for the past year.

AND

• Be a past winner or runner-up in the Arkansas Cup Contest or the Scholarship Contest OR
• Be a winner in the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show Table Top Competition OR
• Be an AIFD member in good standing.
  NOTE: A contestant can only win the Arkansas Cup three times.

The Arkansas Cup Winner will receive the Arkansas Cup Trophy, a cash award of $500.00 to be used toward a certified school of their choice payable after completion of class or classes and a Teleflora scholarhip for continuing education at Telefora in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (to qualify for the Teleflora scholarship the winner must be employed by a shop that is a member of Teleflora at the time of the competition).  The Cup winner will also be awarded a $500.00 Bill Plummer Scholarship and a $300.00 scholarship from Southern Wholesale Florist.  The winner will be a guest designer at the Southern Wholesale Florist Fall-Christmas Holiday Extravangaza Open House in September following convention.  The Arkansas Cup winner will represent Arkansas in the Mid-America Invitational Cup Competition the following year at the Arkansas Florists Association Convention.

All scholarship monies must be used at a school approved by the scholarship committee.
