EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP

Each year the Arkansas Florists Association awards four scholarships to indviduals deemed worthy by the AFA trustees of the Scholarship Committee.  These scholarships honor individuals who have made significant contributions to our association.

• GARY BREWER - A gifted designer and commentator was well know throughout the industry for his remarkable design skill, style and creativity as well as his unmatched humor and knowledge.  Gary began and ended his career in Arkansas.
• WEBER MCFARLAND - A lifelong florist who also was well known throughout the industry and traveled around the country entertaining and educating with his unique commentary.  He was a strong supporter of the Arkansas Florists Association and attended almost every Arkansas convention.
• BOBBIE ST. PIERRE - A long time member of the Arkansas Florists Association and past president of the Arkansas Florists Association.
  
  PAST PRESIDENTS - This scholarship was added in 2006 through a vote of the past presidents at the 2006 Past Presidents Luncheon.  2007 is the first year this scholarship was awarded.
  Bloomnet awarded the first $1,000 toward this scholarship at the 2006 President's Banquet.
