The positions on the Arkansas Florists Association Board of Directors are filled each year by election.

Each year as one member goes off the board everyone moves up one position and another member is elected to fill the vacated position at the bottom.  In the event a board member does not complete their years of service another person is elected to fill that position.  In the event the person cannot finish serving in the current year a replacement shall be filled by appointment of a past president by the reigning president, subject to approval by the Board at it's next regular meeting.  A successor for the unexpired term shall be elected by ballot vote at the time designated for the election of officers.  No appointee can be re-elected.
