The Arkansas Cup Design Contest will be at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009
at the Hot Springs Convention Center

A contestant must qualify in TWO separate areas from those listed

Be an active member of the Arkansas Florists Association OR

Be an employee of an active member shop in good standing who has worked in Arkansas for the past year

AND

Be a past winner or runner up in the Arkansas Cup Contest or the Scholarship Contest OR 

Be a past contestant in the Arkansas Flower & Garden Show Table Top Competition OR

Be an AIFD member in good standing.

The Arkansas Cup Winner will receive the Arkansas Cup Trophy for the year 2009,
a cash award of $500.00 to be used toward a certified school of their choice payable
after completion of class or classes and a Teleflora scholarship for continuing education
at Teleflora in Oklahoma City, OK (ELIGIBILTY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP
REQUIRES TELEFLORA MEMBERSHIP AT THE TIME OF THE COMPETITION).   
The Cup winner will also be awarded a $500.00 Bill Plummer Scholarship and a $300.00
scholarship from Southern Wholesale to a scholarship committee approved school. 
They will be a guest designer at the Southern Wholesale Florist Fall-Christmas Holiday
Extravaganza Open House in 2009.  The 2009 Arkansas Cup Winner will represent
Arkansas in the Mid-America Invitational Cup Competition in 2010 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
All scholarship monies must be used at a school approved by the scholarship committee.

MID-AMERICA INVITATIONAL CUP WINNER WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE AGAIN IN ARKANSAS CUP

All entries must be postmarked no later than July 24, 2009. 
Deadline will be strictly enforced.

Applicants will be notified and will receive rules and regulations in the mail.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUND IF A CONTESTANT
DOES NOT SHOW FOR COMPETITION
