The Arkansas Florists Association Scholarship Design Competition will be held at In order to compete a contestant must have worked in the State of Three scholarships will be awarded. First place winner for 2008 will recieve $1,000 scholarship to apply toward tuition, travel exenses and lodging to attend a floral design school. First and Second Runners-up will receive $600.00 and $400.00 respectively to apply toward attending a floral design school. All schools are subject to approval of the Scholarship Committee. Scholarship checks will be awarded upon proof of completion. Previous first place winners are not eligible to enter the Scholarship Design Competition again. Second and third place winners may compete in the Scholarship Design Competition again. The First Place winner may enter the Arkansas Cup Contest the following year. The Scholarship Design Competition of the Arkansas Florist Association is open to any active member or an employee of an active member shop in good standing. Mail completed application along with $40.00 check payable to Arkansas Florists Association to Joe Turner at address below. All entries must be postmarked no later than July 24, 2009. This deadline will be strictly enforced. Applicants will be notified when their application has been received and will receive rules and regulations in the mail.
