From the President

                             

 Mary Anne Tate - Tate's Flowers - Van Buren

I am excited about the year ahead and looking forward with great
anticipation to what we can accomplish as florists in 2008. 
Each year we try to find new ways to increase our membership
and get more people involved in what has become one of the
 largest floral conventions in the country.   

The addition of the Mid America Cup Competition gave us
greater exposure to other states and is bringing in many
visitors.  The design shows are always the best and next
year promises more of the same.  I look forward to serving
as your president for 2008.             

As the season of thanks comes before us, may we all take a
moment and name or write down things for which we are
thankful. Write or call a person from your past and tell them
you are thankful for knowing them.  Continue to be a good
friend, a learning designer, a good business fellow and an
asset to your friends and community.

2007 will always be a special year for me to remember.  I truly enjoyed
serving as your president and want to take this time to express my
appreciation to all who had a part in making this a very memorable
occasion.  Everything started falling into place from the moment
we arrived at the convention center to begin getting things ready
for the weekend until the last vendor had loaded their vehicle and
left.  The whole experience was great.  The banquet was beautiful
and the entertainment first class!
